Branding
Branding is so much more than a pretty logo.
Branding is the visual and verbal expression of your business’ identity. Successful branding strategically coordinates these elements to express defined personality traits and targeted goals.
We only get a few seconds with a viewer to express professionalism, reliability, what you do, and a memorable personality.
Let’s make sure that people get intrigued, want to learn more about your offerings, and end up converting.
Branding Process
Phase 1
Discovery & Initial Design
~1 week
Yay! You’ve decided to take the first big step in giving your brand either the makeover it deserves or the best beginning steps to its creation.
After our Discovery Call, digitally signing your brand agreement, and sending over your deposit, I’ll coordinate a Brand Strategy meeting with you (~1-2 hours).
Before the meeting, I’ll ask that you gather some inspiration images for your brand via a shared, private Pinterest board with me.
During the meeting via Zoom, we’ll get clear on your brand’s mission, goals, personality, voice, and vision.
I’ll then get started on the Preliminary Design of your brand (i.e. mood board, color palette, textures and patterns, and wordmark designs in black and white). In about a week’s time, I’ll send you the Preliminary Design. We’ll meet again via Zoom in 1-3 days to go over it and your feedback.
Phase 2
Revision
~1 week
After I get your feedback about the Preliminary Design, I’ll make the necessary revisions to the color palette, textures or graphic elements, and create some options for colored versions of your wordmark. I will also design some options for the logo icon and submarks to go with your wordmark. This will be due to you within a week’s time. At our next weekly meeting, we’ll discuss your feedback about this second phase of your brand design.
Phase 3
Finalization
~1 week
After Phase 2, I will have all the information and elements necessary to finalize and put together your final logo and logo variations, mood board, color palette, and textures/patterns together into a brand board and guideline for you. You’ll be able to use these files online and for printing marketing assets. I will send this to you in another week’s time via email.
Voila! You now have a beautiful, stunning brand! How easy is that?! I’ll be popping virtual bubbly with you to celebrate! 🎉
Branding Q&As
-
All individuals or businesses wanting to comprehensively succeed need great branding. Without it, your potential customers or clients won’t fully trust your business or remember it in a positive light (or at all!).
-
Most cheaper logo designs are either done by amateurs just starting out or by designers using generic templates to semi-customize your logo. Because they’re charging so little, they’re usually not invested enough to really care about how your business is different than your competitors—resulting in a very generic, forgettable logo that doesn’t bring out the unique personality of your business.
Often times, the owners of these logos usually end up wanting it to be redesigned in a year or so because they feel how the design just doesn’t fully reflect them and their business.
It’s better to invest your hard earned money in getting your branding done thoughtfully, strategically, and comprehensively from the beginning.

Alternative logos serve as variations of your primary logo that still compliment your branding and give you flexibility to place your brand’s mark in different scales and situations. Alternative logos are usually simplified or more condensed versions of your primary logo.
